Top Gear is one of the most successful motoring TV shows of all time. People have come to love the show for many reasons, that includes the guessing game of who the real Stig is. The Daily Telegraph claimed to have discovered the real identity of the Stig.
It is said that The Stig’s role is played by Ben Collins. A worker who was doing some work at Collins’ house claimed to have seen the mystical white racing suit and gloves in a display closet.
There are a few racing drivers to have been speculated of being The Stig, among them is a former F1 champion, Damon Hill.
It has also been said that The Stig’s role is played by a few racing drivers.
Top Gear producers has responded by posting a response to the findings on their official blog. Instead of rebutting the findings, they actually came up with another (kinda funny) myth of who the real Stig is. Graham Hill, a legendary racer, is said to be The Stig and his death was a hoax planned by BBC.
We have yet to see what will happen to the White Stig (current Stig) as the Black Stig was ‘killed off’ due to a breach of contract. There is an actual clause that the actor/driver who plays Stig would be ‘fired’ if his identity is revealed, by any means what-so-ever.
Would the show be same ever again? What do you think?
