After five years, the second-generation Rio is finally getting a makeover. The surrounding images, which surfaced on Kia-World over the weekend, show the adaptation of design cues first seen at the Geneva auto show.
The 2010 Rio, “Pride” in its hometown, gains a host of changes and upgrades outside and inside. The sheet metal updates up front include a completely redesigned front fascia with different front bumper and signature grille. The combination of a redesigned front bumper, which incorporates larger air-intake and updated fog-lights, and Kia’s new H-shaped signature grille give Rio more character and more distinctive exterior look.
Per the Kia blog, the interior gets an update with a revised center stack, Bluetooth-enabled audio system, steering wheel, and instrument panel.
The current Rio is priced at $12,190 (RM 43,341.57)and offers 110 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque from a 1.6L four-cylinder and five-speed manual. No word on powertrain updates yet.
