
Renault has officially unveiled the 1st model of the Twingo Gordini R.S which it recently announced to have revived. The latest creastion is named the Gordini in honour of its long time designer, Amedee Gordini, Renault’s Gordini cars have historically been some of the marque’s sportiest offerings. Amedee Gordini worked closely with Fiat in the 1950s and 60s, developing F1 and LeMans cars, as well as over 200,000 Renault vehicles.
The Twingo Gordini R.S will be most likely draped in the historic blue hue that once adorned French racing cars in the days before corporate sponsorship dominated. A pearlescent black version is also said to be in the offing.

The Twingo Gordini R.S. is powered by a 133 bhp, 1.6L gasoline engine, with 17 inch front wheels along with an uprated suspension package and brakes.
It will be available in March 2010 but the price hasn’t been announced yet.
