The Audi A3 TDI was named as 2010 Green Car of the Year and in the process grabbed the title away from last year’s winner which was the the Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Celebrities like Jay Leno, Carrol Shelby and Sierra Club’s Carl Pope were be the jurors chossen after Green Car Journal shortlisted the five finalists and gave the jurors the oppurtunity to select the winner.
Audi A3 TDI also in the process beat other competitors like the Honda Insight, Mercury Milan Hybrid, Ford Fusion Hybrid and the legendary Toyota Prius.
Green Car Jounal editor Ron Cogan stated that all the five finalists are notable for being mainstream vehicles that are available today and they exist because that’s what the market is demands. So do you agree the A3 TDI is the Green Car of the Year?
