BMWs Slowest M Yet?

If you were looking for a BMW with the “M”-badge, lightweight and rear driven, here’s it is!

Both the M and the Cruise bicycles were styled completely in-house. Brake and shift cables are tucked within the frame rails to clean its appearance, while the available orange color is reportedly patterned after a similar hue used on the old 1802 sedan. BMW does, however, source the front suspension and driveline from other sources, with the fork coming from Manitou and the gearing from Shimano.

Craving something a little sportier? Perhaps the M variant — dubbed the M Bike — is more your style. The vibrant paint scheme is abandoned in favor of a matte anthracite finish, which is contrasted by red accents on the rims, frame, and leather seat. It may be slower than a typical “M”-badged vehicle, but the bike does receive disc brakes and a higher total gear ratio than its sibling to help improve off-the-line acceleration.

Although the M Bike won’t be available until June, the Cruise Bike is presently on sale for roughly $1,100 (RM 3,633). Want one? Unless you live in Europe, you’re out of luck.
