Honda is recalling 1,850 Acura ZDX crossovers in the US and 650 from the Canadian Market due to a potential issue that could lead to improper deployment of the front passenger-side airbag.
The issue was discovered during manufacturing quality checks, which found that some ZDXs did not have necessary laser-cut scoring on the dashboard’s underside. The scoring is needed to ensure clean airbag deployment. Only a proper inspection can determine whether the dashboard will need to be replaced.
