Hyundai’s Got Some New Toys For You To Play With!

Hyundai has some important updates for us all to brag about. More specifically, they’ve gotten a direct injection engine update for its Lambda V6 engine as well as for their 1.6L, 4-cylinder engine and lastly a newly developed 8-speed automatic transmission.

The V6 Lambda engine is most likely to see service in Hyundai’s rear-wheel-drive platform, which is the Genesis Sedan and Coupe as well as the new Equus luxury cruiser. We would even dare speculate to be able to see the new Direct Injected V6 attached to their 8-speed auto tranny.

Hyundai has rated the new V6 engine to be able to pump out about 296bhp, but there’s some speculation that this could be a little under-rated, because it would be pumping out less than what the Genesis Coupe is able to pump out at current.

As for the 1.6L direct-injected 4-cylinder engine, it could be used in the upcoming next generation Accent / Elantra. With 138bhp on tap, its definitely a bonus when the current 1.6L non-direct-injected engine only kicks out about 110bhp.

Hyundai has also mentioned that their 1.6L direct-injected engine is a very likely candidate for turbo-charging!

That sort of news, certainly has out mouths watering in deed.
