2011 Audi AS8 By ABT

German tuning house, ABT, has taken the 2011 Audi A8 to greater heights by giving birth to the AS8. ABT took the initiative by turning the A8 into one sporty-looking car and the AS8′s package merely changes the elegant glider into having race car-like attributes.

The AS8’s development began using the diesel-based stock A8 engine. The stock, having been equipped with 4.2L TDI V8, produces 350bhp and 800Nm of torque. After being given the ABT treatment, the car has been boosted up to 385bhp, with a foundation-shifting 880Nm of torque, which transpires into a 5s century sprint, while only weighing 1,951kg.

Sure, changing the interior may seem almost good enough, but how can we tell that it’s been tuned? Simple! ABT’s A8-enhanced bodywork with a uniquely designed body-kit consists of a front spoiler that comes with a splitter, side sills and a rear-end apron that encloses new tail pipes. All wheels come in 21″ rims and the rear of the car has been fitted with a three-piece spoiler.

We love the creatively artistic ABT-work and we appreciate the efforts made in making the A8′s looks much more appealing, especially the rear! Well done ABT! Hopefully, they improve the sides and the nose too, next time.
