The rumourmills are at full capacity as we speak and the latest rumour is that the upcoming Ferrari 458 Roadster may be outfitted with a retractable hard-top!
With the addition of such motorized contraptions, it undoutedly adds weight to the whole car. But then again, Ferrari has been notoriously synonymous with weight-saving designs.
Irregardless of the California’s roof, Ferrari’s justification was that the use of a hard-top convertible mechanism proved to be lighter than a fabric roof instead. However, it also means less drag and higher speeds.
