It was all smiles and cheers from about 80 underprivileged children and 20 single mothers from Hulu Selangor as they went shopping for their “baju raya” (Hari Raya clothes) at the Jusco Departmental Store at 1 Utama Shopping Centre here today.
The children had fun choosing their own clothes and shoes for the coming Aidil Fitri. Each of the children was given RM150 voucher while the mothers RM200 voucher each to shop for their clothes, courtesy of Perodua.
“In the spirit of the coming Aidil Fitri, we would like to share the festive joys with these underprivileged children and their single parent mother by enabling them to shop for their clothes. This is part of our continuous efforts to share with the underprivileged group,” Perodua managing director En Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
He later handed out RM50 “Duit Raya” from Perodua to each of the children and their mother.
The children and mothers later joined Perodua management for “berbuka puasa” (breaking of fast) treat at Kenny Rogers Roasters at the shopping centre.
