Could There Be A Mini Countryman COUPE?

The Mini Countryman crossover is about to roll into town in 2011, but having said that, there could be something else coming about from the realms of MINI-land. A coupe?

Mini is quite hard-pressed and bringing about a Countryman-based coup especially after Land Rover’s two-door Range Rover Evoque was released with small-ish looks and a coupe styling.

So if the Countryman coupe gets the go-ahead, it should be made available two years on in 2013. From now till then, we can’t help but wonder what it’d be like if those two doors got switched out for a set of Lambo-like scissor doors.

Not to mention, with a smaller chassis, the Countryman coupe should be displaying less over-hangs at the rear with a much shallower side-windows. perhaps somewhere along the lines of the Clubman.
