The Sorento Crossover, dubbed the ‘SX.’ There were passing words about the SX getting a redesigned front-end with more equipment to boot, but more importantly, Kia has decided to make it so that it received some booster shots for a more sporty handling, thanks to a lower ride-height and Dual Flow Damper (DFD) absorbers that will soak up more bumps on the road without loosing too much comfort.
Initially, the critiques came back with a note that the Sorento did well in dealing with twisted-but-smooth tarmac, but plonk it onto pot-holed ridden (or Malaysian roads) and you’d soon need to get your fillings re-done. The suspension was found to have taken a deep dive into the depths of harshness.
Kia has taken note of such and has now decided to implement the DFD dampers into the rest of the Sorento range. Now the enjoyment is going to get better, because coupling the 3.5L , 276bhp V6 engine with the DFD absorbers will undoubtedly win a lot of hearts after a quick test-drive as compared to it’s other 2.4L four-banging engine variant. The new Sorento will receive LED tail-lamps and both external and internal chrome accents.
