Naza has opened the doors of Asia’s largest and most comprehensive Ducati Centre to the public today, following the official opening by YB Dato’ Mukhriz bin Tun Dr. Mahathir, the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry.

Marking yet another milestone for Next Bike Sdn Bhd, sole importer and distributor of Ducati in Malaysia, YB Dato’ Mukhriz was accompanied by Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of NAZA Group, Dato’ SM Zulkifli SM Amin, Group Chief Operating Officer of NAZA Group, Mr. Mirko Bordiga, Chief Executive Officer of Ducati Asia Pacific and His Excellency Folco De Luca Gabrielli, Italian Ambassador to Malaysia.

More than 250 guests joined the event which included representatives from 10 Ducati distributors from throughout Asia Pacific countries – Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, China and India.

The 15,000sq ft Ducati Centre features a Ducati showroom, Coffee Lounge, Ducati Club Lounge for private meetings of Ducati Owners Club members, Fitness Centre, Ducati Merchandise Square and a pre-owned Ducati showroom and after sales centre (with 8 service bays and a suspension tuning room).

Located at Naza Automall PJ, the company aims to make this centre a sophisticated one-stop solution for Ducati owners and enthusiasts alike.

Ducati lovers and customers now have the opportunity to view a wide range of motorcycles at the refreshed showroom; from well maintained pre-owned bikes and classic Ducati favourites to exhilarating and futuristic new models. With a variety of facilities developed specially for its patrons, the Ducati Centre is the ‘home away from home’ for local Ducatisti and visiting foreign Ducatisti. More than just a showroom, the centre is a place for Ducati owners to gather, relax in the company of those with a shared passion and even work out at the fully equipped fitness centre.

As part of NAZA’s commitment to its customers, the after-sales service centre is equipped with 8 service bays manned by dedicated technicians that have been well trained by Ducati APAC personnel.

Joint Group Executive Chairman of NAZA Group, Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin stated, “NAZA has been given the option of becoming the distributor of Ducati bikes in any country where Ducati has yet to appoint a distributor. In other words, NAZA will be involved in the total globalization of Ducati distributorship with the blessing of Ducati Holding.”

“The same approach is also being discussed with other international brands that are currently in NAZA’s stable. Thus far, the government and government agencies have been very proactive in assisting the local businesses abroad and I believe the same will apply with this undertaking,” he added.

Datuk Wira SM Faisal further stated that NAZA is amidst discussions with its partners regarding plans to assemble big bikes in Malaysia. In the long run, NAZA intends to make Malaysia the assembly hub for the Asia Pacific market, and more specifically the ASEAN market.
