With an official lap time of 9:01 minutes and average speed of 138.4 km/h, Peugeot has set a new Nürburgring lap record for electric vehicles. The company’s EX1 electric roadster was 50 seconds faster than previous record set by a modified Mini E in 2010.

Nissan Leaf: 100% Electric Zero-emission Nissan LEAF Debuts in Japan – Sales Start On 20th December 2010 |
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the all-new 100% electric, zero-emission Nissan LEAF, which goes on sale December 20th at Nissan dealers nationwide. It will be followed by the United States, also in December, and in select European markets in early 2011. Release in other global markets is set for 2012.
