Just like every other car manufacturer in the world who are attempting a green car, Rolls-Royce has decided to join the bandwagon as well. It is rumoured to be working on a hybrid version of its upcoming Ghost.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost hybrid will share the BMW ActiveHybrid 7’s green technology since they both share the same standard rear wheel drive platform.
The Ghost still have 6.2-litre V12 and the car’s 20kW electric motor will be integrated into the car’s eight-speed ZF-engineered automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption in the hybrid model should be around 15% better than the standard model, while the extra torque and power provided by the additional battery should provide a rather small improvement to the overall performance.
Now rich people and rappers can drive their “green” Rollers and feel good about it.
