Four lucky Myvi buyers drove away with a brand new 1.5L premium Perodua ALZA each after they were picked as the grand prize winners of the “Myvi Moment” contest.

The winners are Shamsiah Abd Kadir from Johor, Ismadi bin Ngah@Ismail from Kuala Terengganu, Lee Thiam Hock from Kuala Lumpur and Habibah Binti Ismail from Negeri Sembilan.

The contest was held from 13th June to 31st July this year to thank the public for choosing Perodua as their preferred brand. Contestants have to purchase any Myvi variant during the contest period to qualify for the draw.

Forty other participants also won GPRS navigation or Myvi sport kits.

“The contest was a huge success. A total of 11,252 Myvi units were purchased during the 44-day period. That is an average of about 256 cars sold daily,” Datuk Syed Abdul Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar said in his speech at the ceremony held at Shah Alam today.

On the ALZA, he said Perodua received some 11,000 bookings for the ALZA as of last Friday with a waiting period of 2 months.

Hafiz was confident that Perodua will be able to meet its 4,000 units per month sales target based on ALZA’s realibility as well as product and prize positioning.

He added that with the introduction of the ALZA Perodua is set to achieve 176,000 units sales target for 2010 –  the highest ever sales for the national company.

Hafiz said that despite the strong interest in the ALZA, bookings for Myvi abd ViVA continued to be strong in November with close to 10,000 units of Myvi and 7,700 units of ViVA, respectively.

“Our monthly bookings for November which stood at 26,357 units were the second highest ever monthly booking after the 29,900 units achieved in June 2005,” Hafiz said.
