The long awaited next generation BMW 6 Series is caught riding down the streets recently in camouflage.
Looking at the picture, we can see that the 6 Series is a lot more dashing than the one currently on sale. The front fascia was designed with a larger view of BMW’s twin kidney grilles and the stretched headlamp cluster embedded with a set of turn signals. At the back of the car, the convertible top won’t change too much from the current car; same upright rear window with flying buttress-sides.
In terms of performance, rumour has it that the next generation 6 Series will be equipped with a turbocharged six and eight-cylinder engines from the 7 Series. .
There are also rumours saying that the M-badged 6 Series will not be able to have a place in BMW’s line-up due there is work being done on a high-output version of the Efficient Dynamics concept car.
Lastly and in addition to the rumours, there’s also possibilities in which the 6 Series will come with four-doors to compete closely with Mercedes-Benz’s CLS and the upcoming Audi A7 Sportback.
For the time being, let’s just wait a little longer until the whole camouflage has been peeled off the coupe and by then we’ll be sure to post more updates. Till then.
