When it comes to Lotus, we do know that there’s no other individual that has greater influence than Roger Becker other than the founder himself; Colin Chapman. Who is Roger Becker? He is the man that gave birth to the Elise, Exige and Evora and was with Lotus for almost 44 years before retiring early this year.

Unfortunately, 2010 also marks the retirement of the current supercharged Elise and Exige due to the inability to meet Euro 5 Emissions Standards. However,  as a tribute to the retirement of these models, Lotus will close out the run for the two by bumping up the power on both the Elise SC (217bhp) and Exige S RGB Edition (257bhp) from the S260.

These models will be available in white, yellow, black and grey with black forged alloy wheels. As a tribute to Roger Beckers, these limited edition cars will get Becker’s signature on the B-pillar as well as a numbered plaque.

At the moment, the supercharged engines will still remain available outside of Europe.
