Some RM20 million worth of supercars and superbikes will be displayed by the NAZA Group of Companies at the Kuala Lumpur International MotorShow 2010 or KLIMS’10, making up 50% of the total number of vehicles to be showcased from 3rd – 12th December 2010.
This would encompass the Group’s luxury brands of cars and motorcycles, from Ferrari, Maserati, Brabus ,and NAZA World’s Platinum collection, including the recently acquired Chevrolet brand, Peugeot and Kia, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Piaggio, Aprilia, Vespa, Gilera and NAZA Bikes.
NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman Dato’ Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin said this was part of the Group’s efforts in exciting car enthusiasts in Malaysia and around the region, in addition to highlighting the many brands and products available.
“We are constantly committed to supporting the local automotive industry, which is an integral part of the Malaysian economy. Our participation at KLIMS’10 would not only be beneficial to the industry, but would also be a way to promote the country to the regional players within the industry,” he said.
SM Faisal added that the Government’s efforts in encouraging and ratifying such a show is testament to its commitment in ensuring the industry is competitive, especially in the wake of the regional automotive boom.
The Group is expected to showcase several unveilings including the Maserati Gran Cabrio, Vespa LX150, Harley-Davidson Softail and the star of the show, the Ducati Diavel, which is being flown in especially for the KLIMS’10 opening on 2 December 2010.
The booths will be divided into several different experiences, with Ferrari, Maserati and the platinum collection under the NAZA Wonders on Wheels umbrella, with Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Gilera, Piaggio, NAZA Bikes and Aprilia under the Wonders on Bikes section.
Chevrolet , Peugeot, Kia and Vespa will have their respective stand-alone lifestyle booths at PWTC.
Additionally, the Chevrolet booth will showcase several machines, such as the Camaro SS Bumblebee, made popular in the hit movie Transformers 1 & 2, the Cruze of the World Touring Car Championship (also seen in the latest Hawaii Five-O series) and the car that drove the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj, Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, to the Merdeka stadium for the declaration of Independence in 1957, the 57’ Chevy Bel Air.
The Group’s involvement in KLIMS’10 is further cemented by the sponsorship of 10 NAZA Blitz scooters to lucky visitors of the show. There will be one scooter to be given out each day during the 10 days. Several activities have been planned out for the entire period of the show by the Group, including a mini-treasure hunt, a charity photo shoot and other surprise activities.
A range of merchandise will be sold from the various brands under the NAZA Group of Companies, with those wanting to book their cars or motorcycles enjoying special deals, exclusively during the 10-days of KLIMS’10.
Those purchasing a car or motorcycle from NAZA World will also stand to win the Grand Prize of a Mercedes Benz SLK200 Roadster and a Honda ST 1300 valued at RM230,000 and RM102,000 respectively.
