With the 2012 Detroit Auto Show approaching close, the automakers have begun to instill the excitement amongst the auto enthusiast by slipping images of their upcoming models. Ahead in the league is Lexus, with a small glimpse of its new concept.

Lexus has recently released a teaser image of the interiors of its unnamed concept. From what we see in the shot above, the car appears to be a two-door coupe model.

This is the second slip out from Lexus after the company initially released a similar brainteaser image of car’s exteriors. The cabin of the new concept reveals lashings of leather and velvet, with a retro-styled steering wheel and separate binnacle surrounded by rising bands of aluminium.

Besides the teaser images, the Japanese automaker did not provide a lot of information on the study other than that it has been designed by Calty, the company’s design studio in Newport Beach, California, and that it showcases a “new design direction embraced by Lexus”.

That said, we eagerly wait for Lexus to drop the veil off from the car and release its complete details. Expect more photos and information on the Lexus concept to trickle out ahead of the Detroit Auto Show in January.
