Like a rock star on tour, the Audi Q3’s Asian Tour made its maiden stop in Malaysia before this left-hand drive unit from Ingolstadt, Germany gets shipped off to Indonesia where it will look pretty for all to view.

The direct contender to BMW’s X1, and requiring a rather keen eye to be able to identify it from its slightly larger Q5 stable mate, its muscular lines and narrow headlights makes you take this particular SUV very seriously.

This particular unit that Euromobil had on display at their Glenmarie showroom was their turbocharged 2.0L TFSI quattro variant that pumps out 170bhp @ 4,300rpm and 280Nm from a lowly 1,700rpm. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.7L/100km with carbon-dioxide emissions at 179g/km.

The Q3’s engine comes mated to Audi’s 7-speed S tronic double clutch box that helps propel the Q3 to 100kmh in 7.8s and onwards to a top speed of 212kmh whilst riding on a set of 5-spoked Trias designed cast aluminium rims that’s wrapped by 235/50 R18 Continental rubbers.
