Volvo has recently produced a series of videos showing the ‘‘unboxing’’ of its new V60 Plug-In Hybrid, mimicking the growing trend for people to pull apart brand-new high-tech electronic devices such as iPads and iPhones, and film it all in a video that is posted on the internet.

In the two videos, Volvo is humorously acting as if the new Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid is an electronic gadget in a huge box and has a team of people in lab coats unbox and dismantle it to give us a detailed look at its features and how it functions. The reassembled V60 is then put through its paces to see if — just like consumer electronic devices — it lives up to its maker’s claims.
