Sime Darby Motors Division is all geared up for the Super GT 2012 Motorshow on 9 to 10 June 2012 at the Sepang International Circuit with all seven automotive brands represented at the exhibition, with each displaying their latest models.
This is the first joint exhibition with all the seven brands under the group, namely Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Land Rover, MINI and Porsche. Apart from the display of exciting vehicles, each of these brands has also lined-up interesting activities and contests for visitors.
“Visitors to the Super GT 2012 can look forward to a preview of the many new models by brands under Sime Darby Motors Division, some of which have not been launched in Malaysia. This event is definitely a good opportunity for visitors to check out what’s new as well as what’s coming up next,” said Sime Darby Motors Division Malaysian Region Managing Director Dennis Ho.
At the Alfa Romeo booth, visitors can check out the newly launched Giulietta on display. In addition the public can also view the Alfa Romeo 159. Alfa Romeo’s history which spans more than a century will also be on exhibition. This will be of particular interest to motor sports fans as the Alfa Romeo has a close association with the sport, having won the inaugural F1. To complement this rich heritage, attractive prizes can be won by just answering questions pertaining to Alfa Romeo’s rich history.
At the same event, Auto Bavaria will be showcasing more than just cars at their booth. The BMW S1000 RR race performance superbike will also be showcased along with the MINI Cooper S Countryman equipped with accessories and the newly launched BMW Z4 modern roadster. To add some zest to the booth, Auto Bavaria has also lined-up many interesting activities such as the Tyre Changing Competition, Spin the Wheel as well as a special promotion on their lifestyle merchandise items.
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) will display its new Ford Fiesta and the due to be officially launched soon all-new Ford Ranger. The all-new Ford Ranger display is definitely a good opportunity for all fans to preview this vehicle. Visitors can also expect to participate in some challenging games at this booth. Among them will be the Ford Voice Control game where participants will put their voice command to test in controlling the car. Another great challenge to look forward to is ‘How Many People Can You Fit Into the all-new Ford Ranger?’ The group who can fit in the most number of people into the Ford Ranger wins.
Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will be showcasing the Veloster, a three-door coupe, which is scheduled to be launched the second half of this year. What’s interesting at this booth is also the Hyundai Veloster HD challenge which enables visitors to win great prizes. It is an iPad challenge for two where eight winners will be selected as finalists. There is one grand prize and seven consolation prizes.
Over at Land Rover’s booth, Land Rover Malaysia is showcasing the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. The Range Rover 4.4. was launched late last year and provides visitors a taste of luxury on the globally renown Range Rover brand. Visitors will also get a demonstration of the key features of this prestigious range of vehicles while getting to know more about the Land Rover brand.
Those who love sports performance cars can check out the Sime Darby Auto Performance’s booth. The all-new 911 Carrera S Cabriolet will be the star of the showcase – around 90% of all parts of the car have been newly designed for extraordinary feel. The GT3 Racing Cup car is another attraction at the booth. For the first time, SDAP will be competing in the upcoming Porsche Carrera Cup Asia on 1 to 2 September 2012. Another model not to be missed is the Cayenne Turbo which will also be on displayed.
With the many latest models to be displayed and an interesting line-up of activities, Sime Darby Motors is expecting a big turn up of visitors at their exhibition area during the two-day event. The Sime Darby Motors motorshow at the Super GT 2012 is definitely worth visiting with the many cars to be previewed and games that will win visitors attractive prizes. This is also the place to purchase merchandise items from favourite car brands.
Tickets to the Super GT 2012 is sold at RM100 a piece, which entitles visitors to access the Grandstand and the PIT walkabout area. Upon the purchase of the ticket, a limited edition Super GT 2012 Touch ‘n Go card will be given to the visitor. Visitors are required to top up the card if they would like to make any purchases at the event, as business transactions are cashless and will be conducted using either the Touch ‘n Go card or the credit card.
