A bike fest was held last weekend, 11 – 13 May, dubbed as 1 Malaysia Bike Expo 2012 at the parking area of Kompleks Sukan Negara, Bukit Jalil, where the main activity was for an opportunity to test ride a superbike.

Organised by Superbike Association of Malaysia (SAM), the expo’s main objectives are to gather 50,000 bikers and visitors, and to educate the public about proper motorcycle handling and safety issues.

Naza World of Bikes was the main exhibitor displaying more than 40 bikes of various brands like Harley-Davidson, Indian, Aprilia, Vespa, Gilera, Piaggio, Ducati and Naza Bikes.

Amir Abu Bakar of Naza Bikes said that apart from motorcycle display and merchandising sales, the opportunity to test ride a superbike is their main activity and objective in the expo.

Other activities by organizer are free admission for Rock climbing, Street soccer, Bungee ejecting, Skate boarding, Paint ball, and an Inflatable playground for kids. There were also concerts held featuring local artists.
