BMW and Alpina are as close as two coats of paints. While the premium German automaker builds excellent cars, the latter takes it and transforms it into an even better piece of machinery, as can be seen on the Alpina B7. For this year, Alpina is introducing another member to the lineup, the new B3 Bi-Turbo.
Based on the F30 3 Series, Alpina’s latest handiwork is powered by an improved 3.0-litre, inline-six turbocharged engine with 404 hp at its disposal. Coupled to a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, the third-gen B3 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds. Even so, the car is 20 percent more efficient compared to its predecessor with a fuel consumption of only 7.9 l/100km.
The new B3 Bi-Turbo is set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Expect more information and technical specifications from the company by then.
