MG CS Concept Shanghai - 1

After teasing us with a couple of renderings last week, the Chinese owned British manufacturer, MG (Morris Garages) has unveiled its stunning urban SUV, the MG CS Concept at the Shanghai Motor Show.

Judging from the photos, the design of this concept, said to be penned by a top design team led by MG Global Design Director Anthony Williams-Kenny, did not veer away much from the sketches previously shown.

The front fascia features headlights with multi-faceted ‘shard’ structure that supposedly refract light in different colours and shape. It also has an aggressive large central air vent flanked by two smaller chrome and red rimmed vents that seems to continue on to the side sills and ends at the rear vents that mirrors the front. The taillights also features the ‘shard’ structure. The red highlights, also seen on the roof rails, wraps the outer rims of the 20 inch alloy wheels.

The overall silhouette of this concept is said to give the side profile a distinctive, sporty style and youthful appearance with creative design, style and charisma that dominates the look of this latest MG.

Still in concept stage, MG did not reveal anything on its powertrain. It is, however, expected to create a sensation among young, fashion-conscious people and will expand the global reach of the MG brand.
