Apparently, someone behind BMW’s online configurator commited a blunder by releasing early photos of the yet-to-launch facelifted F10 M5. The powerful sedan receives subtle exterior and interior changes but that is about it, as far as the Internet is concerned.
The fierce front face receives new kidney grille, flanked by tactfully-redesigned headlights. The kidney grille now sports vertical bars which hold the M badge, the same as that of the BMW M6. The rear section seems totally untouched.
In the cabin, the most notable change is the M6-sourced steering wheel. Apart from that, there is also a revised iDrive unit, which is now touch-sensitive. It is unknown if BMW decides to tune the powerful 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 plant but it was reported that the company is planning to come up with competition packages for both M5 and M6.
