The next-generation of the Honda Jazz (also known as Fit in other markets) is not expected to debut until the end of this year but a series of leaked brochures of the 2014 Jazz/Fit, reported to come straight from the carmaker’s press desk, somehow made its way to the Internet.
The new Jazz is said to have grown 60 mm longer over the outgoing model at 3,960 mm. Cabin space has been given a boost with a longer wheelbase by 8 mm and the boot volume is reportedly to be at 400 litres. The new Jazz is also said to retain its Magic Seat, which lets you transform the interior in 180 ways at the lift of a lever or push of a button.
As for the engine, the Indian and European market are expected to welcome Honda’s new Earth Dreams diesel engine while other markets will be graced with the 1.2 and 1.4-litre variants. An image of the Jazz’s instrument cluster with a power charge metre instead of RPM metre is also included, hinting the possibility of the new Jazz Hybrid.
