2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible 01

Chevrolet will debut the new 2014 Camaro Convertible alongside its coupe sibling at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show, which will take place next month. The automaker says that that the latest Camaro ” represents the most significant redesign since the introduction of the fifth-generation Camaro as a concept vehicle in 2006.”

The new Camaro boasts a refreshed front fascia that features a wider lower grille and a narrower upper grille. The hood vent is now bigger to further help reducing heat and aerodynamic lift. The rear section features a sculptural deck lid, horizontal lamps and a diffuser to complete its new look. Both the coupe and the convertible sport a spoiler with integral antenna.

Apart from keyless entry system, leather-wrapped Recaro bucket seats (only for the coupe) and colour heads-up display, Chevrolet also introduces their latest MyLink infotainment system that can be accessed via a seven-inch, full-colour touchscreen. An integrated navigation system with coverage of all of Europe is available as well.

Like the coupe, the Camaro Convertible gets 432 hp and 569 Nm from a 6.2-litre V8 mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.
