This could be the most exciting entrant at the next Frankfurt Motor Show; the new Ferrari 458 Speciale. The successor to 360 Challenge Stradale and F430 Scuderia is special indeed; having 596 hp from the same 4.5-litre V8 engine as well as lighter body complete with distinctive aero kit and race stripes.

The most notable changes can bee seen on the 458 Speciale are the front and rear movable aerodynamics that help in balancing downforce and cut drag, making it the most aerodynamic production model the Prancing Horse marque has ever produced.

The 458 Speciale weighs 1,290 kg, and is able to complete the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 3 seconds, before reaching 200 km/h 6.1 seconds later. The car  also clocked a lap time of just 1’23″5 at the Fiorano Circuit. Ferrari claims that the award-winning engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 to have ever come out of the Maranello plant.

Side Slip angle Control (SSC) integrates with F1-Trac traction control and E-diff electronic differential to optimise torque management as well as torque distribution between the rear wheels. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 rubbers help in achieving high lateral acceleration at 1.33 g.
