Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has officially launched its 5th generation Lagenda 115Z today at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel & Spa. The launch ceremony was officiated by YB. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein, Acting Minister of Transport, Malaysia.
The all-new Lagenda 115Z comes with a new look and is highlighted by the usage of the latest fuel injection system, which has already been proven as efficient in another model, the FZ150i. For the new Lagenda 115Z, new features like ergonomic instrument panel, under seat storage compartment, double-layered fins leg shield, sporty lamp cluster and new muffler are introduced.
Three variants are offered – kick start, electric starter and the 115ZR variant, which comes in Yamaha racing colours and other additional features such as LED backlight with blue dial instrument panel, lighted under seat storage compartment, air reservoir on the rear suspension and tilt-able footrest.
The engine equipped is a 113 cc, four-stroke, SOHC matched to a 4-speed manual transmission to produce 7.4kW at 7,750 rpm and 9.9 Nm at 6,250 rpm. Speaking at the ceremony, CH Ng, HLYM’s Managing Director said, “The finishing of the all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z also gives you a high quality feel and a sophisticated ‘on-board’ riding experience.”
The all-new Yamaha Lagenda 115Z is priced at RM4,792 for the kick-start variant while the electric start version retails at RM5,168. The Lagenda 115ZR is set at RM5,410.
