Kuala Lumpur, 10 October 2013 – The 2013 editions of Ducati’s Hypermotard and Hyperstrada models were launched in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur today, with Ducati team rider and MotoGP World Champion (2006), Nicky Hayden, present to mark the occasion.
Prior to the launch in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Ducati Owners Club members were given the privilege to have a private meet and greet session with Nicky Hayden at Sama-Sama Hotel, Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The Hypermotard and Hyperstrada are the latest additions to the impressive line up of Ducati bikes brought to Malaysia by Next Bike Sdn Bhd – which also includes Diavel, Monster, Multistrada, 1199 Panigale and Streetfighter.
Brand new, in every conceivable way, Ducati has redesigned the Hypermotard with a combination of the latest technology and Italian ingenuity to provide a more refined, comfortable and user-friendly riding experience. Ducati debuts its new liquid-cooled 110hp 821cc Testastretta 11° V-Twin engine in a tubular steel Trellis frame equipped with top-of-the-range chassis components. This generation of the Hypermotard is less maintenance-intensive with major service intervals increased to 30,000km – a milestone for Ducati.
The Ducati Safety Pack consists of latest generation, three-level ABS and eight-level Ducati Traction Control, which fully integrates with three Ride-by-Wire engine mappings to provide Ducati’s highly versatile Riding Modes at the touch of a button. Comfort is enhanced via the ‘ergonomic triangle’ of handlebars, seat and foot rests, which have been better spaced out to enable a far more relaxed upright riding position. High ground clearance, a thin waistline and commanding riding stance gives the rider an instant supermotard feeling, whilst also providing the luxury of a street bike.
The Hyperstrada, designed with the concept of Italian-style touring in mind, extends the Hypermotard concept to fascinating new horizons as a sleek and accessible mid-range tourer that also offers everyday practicality. Like the Hypermotard, this model features the new 110hp 821cc Testastretta 11° V-Twin engine in a Trellis frame and but also incorporates a series of touring components and dedicated ergonomics that offers a unique cross-over between a motard and touring bike.
Fun, sporty, nimble and incredibly versatile, the Hyperstrada is a user-friendly travel companion, ideal for adventure touring. Ample ground clearance, a narrow waistline and commanding riding position is complimented by a generous luggage capacity, confidence-inspiring passenger grab handles and a wider thickly-cushioned seat for long journey comfort. The added security of ABS and DTC is combined into the Ducati Safety Pack and fully integrated into the Sport (110hp – High), Touring (110hp – Medium) and Urban (75hp – Low) Riding Modes.
“With the addition of both the Hypermotard and Hyperstrada, we are able to appeal to an even wider customer base and Ducati Malaysia is all set to welcome these new members to our family of local Ducatisti. We expect that these two sensational new models will bring in more than 30% of Ducati Malaysia’s sales in the coming year,” stated Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman, NAZA Group of Companies.
The Ducati Hypermotard is competitively priced at RM68,888 and the Hyperstrada is priced at RM73,888.
