2013 Isuzu D-Max Single Cab Launch - 1

Isuzu Malaysia, in a press announcement this morning, has released its all-new 2nd generation 2013 Isuzu D-Max Single Cab for the Malaysian market. Claimed as the epitome of the workhorse class with its customisable load area, the new single cab model are also offered in an additional 4X2 variant as part of its model range.

“Our customers have been requesting for specific variants to meet their logistic requirements and we have had to fast track our product line-up in order to provide them with the right tools to cope with the rising cost of commodities. With its improved features, excellent design and superior build quality, I am confident that the all-new Isuzu D-Max Single Cab models will surpass the expectations and requirements of pick-up truck users, both in terms of load-carrying performance and the exceptional value it will add to their business organisation,” said Isuzu Malaysia Chief Operating Officer Daisuke Ishida.

The load space, said to be the largest in class capable of carrying bulky loads such as six upright oil drums with ease, offers various customisable options which include luton, box or flat cargo beds, using either wooden or steel constructions, with further adaptations that can be specified through counsel with its sales consultants.

The 4X2 variant is powered by the highly-popular 4JA1-L turbocharged 2.5-litre engine producing 78 hp and 176 Nm of torque, that is expected to appeal to business operators who want fuss-free motoring while enjoying tremendous savings of low running costs and impressive dependability.

The top of the range 4X4 variant, on the other hand, is powered by its 4JK1-TCX engine, which is a 2.5 litre Variable Geometry Turbo System (VGS) producing 134 hp and 320 Nm of torque, hailed as the king of the mountain with its supreme off-road capabilities, best in class ground clearance and dashboard-mounted 4×4 selector.

The all-new 2nd generation 2013 Isuzu D-Max Single Cab is available with a starting price of RM60,411 (RM62,686  in Sabah and RM62,590 in Sarawak) on-the-road without insurance  for the 4×2 model and RM72,331.20 (RM74,140.80 in Sabah and RM74,238.30 in Sarawak) on-the-road without insurance  for the 4×4 model.
