Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) achieved its highest sales ever at 51,875 units in 2013, which is 48 percent higher compared to 2012, the company announced. With the impressive sales volume, Nissan maintained its No. 2 position in the non-national segment.

According to ETCM, the resonant sales number were led by the strong demand for the Almera, which was launched in October 2012. The model accounted for 57 percent of the total sales, or 29,647 units, in the country last year. ETCM has sold more than 35,000 units of the Almera since it was first introduced.
