Lexus RC F Coupe - 1

After teasing us with a single photo of its front wheels and another of its hood air scoop recently, Lexus has revealed the stunning RC F Coupe ahead of its global premiere at the North American International Auto Show 2014 in Detroit next week on the 14th of January. According to Lexus, the All-New RC F Coupe will, supposedly, “redefine the daily commute with asphalt-grinding performance and bold head-turning design.”

Based on the RC Coupe which was revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show last November, this sportier RC F Coupe looks to have wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and carbon fiber components. It’s styled with fins, ducts and scoops to support, what it claims as, the most powerful V8 performance car ever developed by Lexus.

From what can be seen, the bold signature spindle grille wears a mesh insert and is flanked by bigger side air vents than the ones seen on the RC Coupe. It also has a higher hood line to incorporate a central air scoop. The rear bumper is also equipped with a bigger diffuser with quad round tailpipes.

There’s also a speed-sensitive active rear spoiler that deploys at approximately 80 km/h and retracts when it is less than 40 km/h. To complete its overall aggressive outlook, three types of 10-spoke 19-inch forged aluminum wheels are offered, including two machine polished designs and one hand polished by a craftsman.
