As promised, Renault has officially pulled the covers off the new Renault Twingo, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The car, which has been jointly developed alongside the new Smart ForFour, incorporates the more exciting rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, as opposed to the front-engine, front-wheel drive layout on its predecessors.
No information on this city runner as of yet, but according to reports the Twingo could benefit from a three-cylinder engine, coupled to either manual or dual-clutch gearbox. Styling-wise, the Twingo doesn’t look too far off from the Twin’Z and Twin’Run concept cars shown last year.
We only have pictures of the Twingo so far. Feel free to feast your eyes on the gallery below and expect more information on the car when the Geneva Motor Show commences.
