The all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy has been exposed online on several sources ahead of its world debut at the Chicago Auto Show next week.
Naturally, the leaked images suggest that the production-bound Legacy is toned down from the Legacy Concept shown at last year’s LA Auto Show, probably much to Subaru fans’ dismay. Moving along with the brand’s design direction, the new Legacy features a very familiar front fascia, highlighted by a prominent grille, which will make its way to the next generation Outback.
The sixth-generation Legacy sports a sleeker roofline that runs rearwards, where slimmer tail lights and sportier deck lid are present. New dashboard and steering wheel make their way into the cabin, along with new HVAC controls and navigation system.
Nobody knows which engine is going to end up in the bay, but rumours suggest that the new Legacy could be powered by a 2.0- or 2.5-litre four-cylinder mill from the Impreza and Forester. The turbocharged WRX engine is supposedly in consideration as well.
