Naza Premira has broadened its range of Vespa offering with the introduction of the all-new Vespa LXV 150 3V today. Present at the official launch were Judah Sangaran, Area Sales Manager of Piaggio Asia Pacific and Nik Danial Nik Mahmood, Vice President of Naza Two Wheels Division.
Combining the iconic vintage style with Piaggio’s advanced technology, the new LXV retains the chassis of the LX with recognisable details of the 60’s such as the chrome handlebar, fly screen, vintage round headlamp and the double module two-seat saddle made of genuine leather.
The highlight of the LXV is the new air-cooled 154.8 cc four-stroke three-valve power engine that comes with electronic fuel injection. Designed in Piaggio’s Pontedera plant, the engine has went through a great deal of development resulting in decreased friction and improved fluid dynamics. With 12 hp and 12 Nm of torque, the engine is claimed to have 30 percent better performance and fuel economy over its predecessor.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nik Danial Nik Mahmood said, “In this model, Vespa has shrewdly combined the key elements of its popular classic designs with the latest Piaggio technology; creating a snazzy ride with low fuel consumption, smooth power delivery and enhanced riding pleasure for scooting through the urban traffic or enjoying longer, laid-back journeys out of town.”
Nik Danial also confirmed that Naza Premira will bring in at least two more new models this year.
The all-new Vespa LXV 150 3V is available in Midnight Blue, Rossa Chianti (Maroon) and Beige with a basic selling price of RM11,658.
