Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster 01

Of all the Aston Martins that roll out of Gaydon, the new V12 Vantage S stands as the brand’s fastest road-going car with a crazy output of 565 hp and 620 Nm of torque from a V12 engine. Now, the company has chopped the roof off the Vantage S to come up with its fastest, most potent roadster yet – the new 2015 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster.

Aside from the fact that the car now loses its top, the V12 Vantage S Roadster is powered by the same mechanical as the coupe variant. The AM28 6.0-litre V12 unit churns out 565 hp and 620 Nm of torque, enabling the roadster to reach 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a claimed top speed of more than 320 km/h.

As with its coupe sibling, the roadster features a Sportshift III 7-speed sequential gearbox, which replaces the six-speed manual in the forebear and saves 20 kg in the process. In other areas, the grand tourer uses a three-stage damping that works in tandem with the three-stage DSC and two-stage ABS, carbon ceramic discs at all corners and a new lightweight exhaust system derived from the One-77.
