Caterham Seven 480 - Main

Caterham is set to reveal two new variants of the iconic Seven at Monterey Car Week. Both new models – the Caterham Seven 480 and 360 – have been developed specifically for the US market and will go on sale immediately.

Like most of the high-powered Sevens, both the Seven 480 and Seven 360 are driven by a 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine. As might be expected, the Seven 480 gets a more substantial amount of power at 237 hp, enabling the lightweight sports car to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 225 km/h.

The less potent Seven 360 meanwhile sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 209 km/h with just 180 hp.

Sevens are shipped to the US partially built and sold as rolling chassis through sports car builder Superformance.
