Aprilia RSV4 RR 04

Things seem to be looking up for Aprilia it seems. After clinching the Manufacturer World Champion title in World Superbike (WSBK) for the third consecutive year just recently, the Italian bike maker embraces the upgraded version of its title-winning bike in the form of the new Aprilia RSV4 RR at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA).

In effort to make the RSV4 RR as close to being a real race machine, the 999 cc 65-degree V4 engine has been massaged to produce 201 hp at 13,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque peaking at 10,500 rpm. The raw power is then controlled by the latest generation APRC, which covers the engine mapping, Ride-by-Wire throttle system and wheelie control.

Apart from that, the RSV4 RR is equipped with features which only the RSV4 Factory had previously like the magnesium external housings, oil sump and head covers. The upgrade also includes thorough chassis adjustments and variable settings of the intake ducts.

Dressed in “Superpole” livery, the omnipotent sports bike comes equipped with Race Pack which comprises of lightweight forged aluminium wheels and a shock absorbers, fork and steering damper package from Ohlins.
