Lamborghini Aventador SV - Main

Lamborghini has introduced the new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce (SV) at the Geneva Motor Show. The car, which is the most potent derivative in the range, was spotted undisguised during a video shoot in Europe.

As expected, the Aventador’s 6.5-litre V12 engine has been enhanced with a series of upgrades including new variable valve timing and intake system to produce 740 hp at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm of torque peaking at 5,500 rpm – that’s 50 hp more than the standard version.

The naturally-aspirated engine is mated to a seven-speed ISR gearbox, which is responsible to send the output to all four corners via a Haldex electronic coupling system. That propels the Lamborghini from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of “more than 350 km/h.”

Beyond all the intricate bodywork, the Aventador SV manages to lose around 50 kg for a total weight of 1,525 kg, thanks to a raft of carbon fibre body parts. Inside, the cabin adds new bucket seats and carbon fibre door panels but loses certain noise insulation parts.

As for driving dynamics, the model features adaptive Magneto Rheological Suspension, electromechanical steering system, ceramic brakes as well as 20- and 21-inch wheels shod with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres.
