Audi on Demand 03

Audi has introduced a premium car rental service that allows customers to rent a car for up to 28 days. The service, which is called Audi on Demand, is currently being beta-tested in San Francisco and will be made available across the US in the coming years.

According to the automaker, the service offers a vast range of models from the A4 sedan to the range-topping A8 as well as the R8 supercar. Without having to pay a membership fee, customers can select their preferred model trough an app that’s available for download in the Apple app store and have it delivered to them at the place of their choice by an Audi personnel, who will even help them get acquainted with the model.

Interestingly, locking and unlocking of the vehicle, as well as driving, can be done through the app or an optional digital key card. Customers can match specific vehicles to their driving need – the Q5 for a trip to the mountains or any of the S or RS models to make a grand entrance. Child seats, as well as ski and bicycle racks are also available with the service.

Audi adds that the vehicle the customer sees and requests in the app will be the same vehicle delivered to them – down to the exact colour and trim. All of the vehicles feature the Premium Plus trim complete with additional features such as satellite radio, navigation and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
