Congested Highway Traffic w Watermark

To date, after about 12 days of Ops Warta, it has been reported that 58,177 summonses with warrants of arrests has been paid. Unfortunately, it only represents less than 4 percent of the 1.59 million outstanding warrants.

Federal Traffic Police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Fuad Abd Latiff was quoted in the reports saying, “We will increase our effort to search, track and arrest those who still refuse to come forward to settle the warrants of arrest that were issued against them,”

The report goes on to say that the Police has made 2,691 arrests, while 13,191 others had surrendered themselves.

“We know where they are. If they do not want to be arrested and embarrass themselves, they should come forward to any police station to avoid being dragged to court.” Datuk Mohd Fuad added.
