Teased with a few photos and a short video clip a couple of days back, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, or better known as FCA US LLC, has revealed its contender for the Gran Turismo 6 game – the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo.

This radical-looking supercar was concocted by a young, new FCA designer, Paul Hoste, for an internal design competition supposedly to seek for a futuristic 2035 interpretation of a high-performance Dodge vehicle. Paul’s design of the SRT Tomahawk with extreme curves is said to pay homage to iconic Dodge performance models.

It carries an aggressively designed front end and an equally powerful rear with thin LED taillights, five large exhaust ports, angular graphics and asymmetric fenders. The look from the back is said to be important as that it is the primary view of the car by a gamer.

Three performance levels of the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo will be available: an Entry-level S; Racing Version GTS-R; and an Experiemental Technology Ultimate Version X.

The Entry-level S gets a 7.0-liter wide-angle V-10 with 792 hp together with a 215 hp pneumatically driven front wheels to result in a combined total output of 1,007 hp. At 919 kg, the Entry-level S is the heaviest of the three but can still manage a 400 km/h top speed.

Seconds is the Racing version GTS-R. It gets a tuned V10 engine with 1,137 hp helped by a 313 hp pneumatically driven front wheels to deliver a total of 1,450 hp. With more power and much lighter at only 662 kg, the Racing Version GTR-R has a top speed of well over 482 km/h.

Finally, the Experimental Technology Ultimate Version X gets its V10 tuned to 2,168 hp combined with a 422 hp pneumatically driven front wheel for a total of 2,590 hp. Top speed for this experimental version is rated at about 650 km/h.

In keeping the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo stable at such high speed, it is equipped with an aggressive aerodynamics system that uses nine active panels and two front splitters that reacts to inputs from a forward scanning laser system. The system supposedly detects surface changes and anticipate changes in vehicle ride height, pitch and yaw to adjust accordingly.

In addition to that, there’s also a revolutionary active camber system that adjusts the wheel knuckles to “lean” the vehicle into turns to maintain the optimum contact patch and get the highest possible mechanical grip.
