AT&T It Can Wait

American telecommunication giant AT&T has published a new video showing how a quick glance on the smartphone while driving can cause tragic consequences to everyone involved.

Titled “It Can Wait”, the four-minute long video was posted to YouTube last week and has since garnered over a million views.

The gripping ad depicts what seems to be a normal day in the lives of several separate characters – a kid riding his bike through the neighbourhood, a man driving home from work, a woman watering the yard, a mother driving with her daughter in the backseat.

The day takes a turn for the worst when the mother gets distracted by a social media notification, causing horrible collision with the truck driven by the man.

The ad is a part of AT&T’s campaign to educate drivers on the dangers of texting, making calls and using social media behind the wheel. The campaign also includes a 3D virtual reality simulator that can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices.
