Volkswagen Driver Assistance Features 03

Volkswagen of America will be adding a host of high-end driver assistance features across its model lineup starting next year.

The features – Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Parking Steering Assistant, Lane Departure Warning – which were only previously available on the Touareg, will be included in the Beetle, CC, e-Golf, Golf, Golf GTI, Golf R, Golf SportWagen, and Jetta.

Additionally, all Beetle including the convertible and Jetta models will be equipped with Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, which uses information from the airbag sensors to help prevent secondary collision. This feature is standard on Touareg and Golf models.

With a realignment of trim lines throughout the 2016 lineup, rearview cameras are now fitted as standard to more than 85 percent of its models, Volkswagen says.
