Ferrari 488 GTB 05

If you think a seven to eight months waiting list for a Honda HR-V in Malaysia is a long time, Ferrari Australia has just announced that due to huge demand, the waiting list for its recently launched 488 GTB may be extended to four years.

According to reports, Ferrari Australia’s Chief Executive Officer and President Herbert Appleroth said the 458 replacement received over 100 orders in the first week after the model was launched there and, since then, has bloated to more than 430 orders.

He went on to say that by the end of the year the 488 GTB is likely reach sold out status for its entire life cycle in Australia.

The reports also said that another contributor to its huge demand is the AUD469,888 price tag on the 488 GTB which is AUD55,529 lower than the 458 Italia it replaces.
