Jaguar F-Pace Teaser 01

Jaguar has dropped some new information regarding the suspension of the new F-Pace SUV, which will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

First up, the brand’s first ever SUV is built on a lightweight aluminium architecture with a double wishbone front suspension and an integral link setup at the rear. This setup, according to Jaguar, promises responsiveness without jeopardising ride comfort.

Developed to be a ‘sporty crossover’ rather than a traditional SUV, the F-Pace is equipped with an electric power-assisted steering system (EPAS) borrowed from the pacy F-Type. Torque vectoring technology and on-demand all-wheel-drive system ensure the crossover claws its way out of corners effortlessly.

“We’ve tested ride and handling to the limit in all environments and in all conditions, and the result is that the new F-Pace is as engaging and rewarding to drive as it is comfortable and quiet. As soon as you get into the vehicle you know immediately that it’s a good place to be,” said chief engineer Mike Cross.
