After teasing us with some sketches and some photos that leaked online recently, Kia has released some official photos of its all-new 4th generation Sportage ahead of its reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Unfortunately, as we’ve seen leaked photos of it, only exterior shots were given, with some explanation of its new design. It features a bold, progressive front fascia with its headlamps no longer integrated with the grille. The signature ‘tiger-nose’ now sits lower and wider against its swept-back headlights. Its silhouette portrays a more raked profile with its roofline that tapers slightly.

The new sportage has a longer wheelbase, longer front overhangs and shorter rear overhangs, said to be inspired by the 2013 Kia Provo concept car. At the back, the slim combination lamps are joined by a strip that runs the width of the rear.

The all-new 4th generation Kia Sportage was penned at its European design studio in Frankfurt, Germany, with input from Kia’s Namyang, Korea and Irvine, California design centres.
